During the days of 1-2-3-4 June 2023 in the splendid setting of the Stadio del Nuoto in Rome, the first open meeting organized by the Antico Tiro A Volo Nuoto will take place.
The event, supported by the F.I.N. and the Lazio Regional Committee, will be open to all members from the Esordienti to Assoluti categories and will be open to all national and foreign sports clubs.
ATV Nuoto will have the privilege of being the only private company in Italy to organize this event within the swimming complex of the Stadio del Nuoto, a structure that in addition to having hosted the XXXVI edition of the 2022 European Championships of the discipline has seen the greatest world champions in history take turns in over 60 years, including: Massimiliano Rosolino, Domenico Fioravanti, Federica Pellegrini, Ian Thorpe, Michael Phelps. The goal will be to reach 1,000 participants, a limit that is easily achievable both for the strategic calendar positioning, exactly one month from the Japanese World Championships in Fukuoka and two weeks from the Settecolli Trophy, the last chance for Italian athletes to achieve the time limits for participation in the Japanese event, and for the prestigious prizes up for grabs.
The €2,500 guaranteed to the best male and female performances represents an absolute first in the conspicuous and huge history of swimming meetings organized by private companies.
Thanks to the factors mentioned above and the renowned presence of Massimiliano Rosolino within the organizing committee, during the four days the presence of hundreds of young promises will be guaranteed, as well as great champions looking for their best performance.
The ATV will also have the absolute privilege of hosting athletes from the Italian Paralympic Swimming Federation during the competition who will compete in the 50 and 100 freestyle and backstroke disciplines.
In conclusion, this edition will certainly represent the highest historical point reached by the new course inaugurated starting from the 21/22 season
by the Antico Tiro A Volo with the hope and intent of establishing itself over the years as a fixed appointment within the national sports calendar.
